FSANZ approved Chymosin from GM Trichoderma reesei as a processing aid ( enzyme)

Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) has assessed  public health and safety risks associated with the use of chymosin sourced from a genetically modified (GM) strain of Trichoderma reesei, as a processing aid in the manufacture of cheese, cheese products and fermented and rennetted milk products and approved as there were no public health and safety concerns were identified.
