Cellulase from GM Aspergillus niger used as a processing aid

Schedule 18 Processing aids would allow a genetically modified strain of Aspergillus niger expressing Trichoderma reesei cellulase. 

Brewing and distilling are the 2 general benefits of Cellulase: Cellulase breaks down polymeric beta-glucans in the endosperm cell wall of grain into smaller, less viscous molecules during brewing, lowering haze and filtration time. Cellulase converts gelatinized starch and dextrins into glucose and other fermentable sugars during beverage alcohol distillation. 

The manufacturing organism and enzyme product have been thoroughly tested for safety: The manufacturing organism is harmless and produces no harmful byproducts. The producing organism's genetic changes and recombinant DNA (Deoxyribonucleic acid) are stable and safe.
