FSANZ found no safety concerns with titanium dioxide (TiO2) as a food additive

The food authority FSANZ has reviewed the key critical concern raised by EFSA for the use of Titanium dioxide as food additive. The safety was reviewed by the authority along with overseas regulators. Along with the the outcomes of recent reviews conducted in the United Kingdom (UK) and Canada, FSANZ found no safety concerns. It was concluded that Titanium dioxide would be used as food additive with any safety concerns.
