EU authorizes freeze-dried powder form of Antrodia camphorata mycelia as a novel food

European Union scientific commission has done assessment on freeze-dried powder form of Antrodia camphorata mycelia and considered it as safe to place in market as Novel food in accordance to the application submitted by Golden Biotechnology Corp. |The following were added to Implementing Regulation (EU) 2017/2470 : |(1) Conditions under which the novel food may be used in Food supplements at maximum level 990 mg/day |(2) futher it adds the labelling requirements and specifications of novel food like Microbiological criteria, Physical and chemical characteristics,Heavy metals etc.
