To stop the import and spread of Spodoptera frugiperda in the European Union, a new temporary implementing rule (EU) 2023/1134 will go into effect on July 1, 2023. The fall armyworm, or Spodoptera frugiperda, is a species of moth in the owl family. The caterpillar is a widespread pest that causes significant damage to various types of vegetable and grain crops around the world.
The following details are subject to change:
1) New addition to the certification
2) Citation of Regulation (EU) No. 2023/1134, as amended.
3) From September 1, 2023, certification and inspection will be required for green asparagus.
4) The certificate is not required to include traceability information.
