East African Community drafts Bread Specification

Development of the East African Standards has been necessitated by the need for harmonizing requirements governing quality of products and services in the East African Community. This draft East African Standard DEAS  43:2022 specifies the requirements, sampling and test methods for bread intended for human consumption. It provides the details such as definitions, General requirements, Specific requirements, Food ingredients, Sampling, Hygiene, Contaminants such as Pesticide residues, Heavy metals, Packing, Labelling, Test methods, Measurments of bread. It is open for comments till 19/02/2023
