East African Community drafts Soya milk Specification

Development of the East African Standards has been necessitated by the need for harmonizing requirements governing quality of products and services in the East African Community. This draft East African Standard DEAS 800:2022  specifies requirements, sampling and test methods for soya milk intended for human consumption. This standard has been developed to ensure the safety and quality of soya milk for human consumption.  It provides thedetails such as definitions, General requirements, Specific requirements, Food ingredients, Sampling, Hygiene, Contaminants such as Pesticide residues, Heavy metals, Packing, Labelling. It is open for comments till 19/02/2023
