China notifies about new varieties of enzyme preparations, food nutrition enhancer i.e., Beta-amylase, Lysophospholipase, 2’-fucosyllactose, Sanzan gum, Sulfuric acid

China notifies about new varieties of Food Additives and extended scope of additive regulations. These additives are-
-Beta-amylase, Lysophospholipase : enzyme preparations for food industry
-2’-fucosyllactose: food nutrition enhancer
-Expands scope of use of Sanzan gum: functions- Thickeners, stabilizers and coagulants used in Modified milk (max 0.5 g/kg), ice cream(max 1.5 g/kg), complex protein drink (max 0.75 g/kg), Flavored Drinks(max 0.5 g/kg)
-Expands scope of use of sulfuric acid for processing aids for the food industry: Function-Neutralization and soap removal, scope of use- Oil processing technology.
-It is open for comments till 3 March 2023.
