Tanzania proposes draft standard for vanilla

According to this Tanzanian Standard, vanilla from the species Vanilla fragrans (Salisbury) Ames, syn. Vanilla planifolia Andrews., must meet certain requirements and follow certain sampling and testing procedures. Vanilla extracts are not covered by this Tanzanian Standard, which only applies to vanilla in pods, bulk, chopped, or powder form.
