PT Veolia Services Indonesia has taken a significant stride towards obtaining authorization for their innovative recycling process, known as PT Veolia Indonesia_Polymetrix. The company has submitted a comprehensive dossier to the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) for the evaluation of their new recycling technology under Regulation EC 282/2008.
The proposed process focuses on converting post-consumer PET flakes into food grade pellets using Polymetrix technology.
EFSA will carefully review the submitted data, studies, and scientific information to determine their relevance and compliance with regulatory provisions. The consultation period provides an opportunity for stakeholders and interested parties to contribute their comments and insights on the subject matter until June 7, 2023.
