On 27th December 2022, Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare(MHLW), Japan issues a supplemetary amendment to the amendment 1219 which is a directory that distinguishes Drug and Non-Drug ingredients.| Supplementary amendment enriches the contents of the ingredients exclusively used as drugs|Revisions include:| (1) Taxus cuspidata cannot be used as a food ingredient, even without drug efficacy claims but if “Taxus cuspidata” is used as fruit it is possible to use it in food until it does not claim the efficacy of pharmaceuticals. |(2) "N-phenyl propoxyphenyl carbodenafil" is added as medicinal ingredient.
