RE-PET Kunststoffrecycling GmbH has recently applied for the authorization of a new recycling process, known as RE-PETKunststoffrecycling_Gneuss4, under Regulation EC 282/2008. The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) will assess the relevance of this data and ensure compliance with regulatory provisions.
The proposed process focuses on converting post-consumer PET flakes into food-grade pellets, utilizing the Gneuss 4 technology.
This consultation seeks to identify any additional scientific data, studies, or relevant information that may support or relate to the submitted dossier. Interested parties have the opportunity to submit their comments and contributions until June 6, 2023. EFSA will consider these inputs during the scientific assessment process and address any relevant concerns raised.
