The Danish Veterinary and Food Administration has issued a request for public comments regarding the potential approval of genetically modified maize MON 87419 from Bayer Agriculture BV (formerly Monsanto) for import, processing, and use in food and feed within the European Union. The application for authorization was submitted in April 2017, and now the authorities are inviting stakeholders and the general public to share their opinions on the matter.
