China modifies National Food Safety Standard Food Additive Carbon Black from vegetable origin. The main modification are-
-relative molecular mass is changed
-particle size index is increased
- description of the standard's scope is revised
-identification test's analytical steps were changed.
-Changed the index name "cadmium (Ge)" to "cadmium (Cd)"
-Changed the lead (Pb) index requirements
-Added the test methods for lead (Pb) and total arsenic (calculated as As)
-Changed the higher aromatic hydrocarbons test technique.
-It is open for comments till 20 March 2023.
