China NHC to Amend GB 9685-2016 Standard for the Use of Additives in Food Contact Materials and Articles

The first Amendment Sheet to GB 9685-2016 Standard for the Use of Additives in Food Contact Materials and Articles, as well as 37 other drafts of GB food standards, were published on February 13, 2023 by China's National Health Commission (NHC). China's regulatory framework for food contact materials (FCM) includes generic standards like GB 9685-2016. The manufacture of materials and items that come into contact with food is ensured to employ additives in a consistent manner.
