China approved three new food varieties

NHC china approves:
1. The usage of Leuconostoc pseudoenteritis strain as a new raw material in fermented milk, flavored fermented milk, cheese, fermented milk beverages and lactic acid bacteria beverages (non-solid beverages). The usage is restricted to foods for infants and young children.
2. 16 new varieties of food additives like Potassium polyaspartate, magnesium stearate, Polydimethylsiloxane and its emulsion, 2-Hexylpyridine etc. in various food categories were approved.
3. 11 new varieties of food-related products like Cyclohexylamine-terminated 1,1'-methylenebis(4-isocyanatocyclohexane) homopolymer, Sodium salt of naphthalenesulfonic acid and formaldehyde polymer, Fatty acid esters of C1~C18 mono- and polyhydric fatty alcohols etc. were included.
