Amano Enzyme Inc. Seeks Modification of Food Enzyme Authorization: EFSA to Assess Relevance and Compliance

Amano Enzyme Inc. has recently submitted a comprehensive set of studies and scientific data in an application to modify the authorization of the food enzyme Alpha-amylase from Microbacterium imperiale (strain AE-AMT) under Regulation EC 1332/2008.

The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) will conduct a thorough assessment of the submitted data to determine its relevance in terms of risk assessment and compliance with regulatory provisions.

Stakeholders and interested parties are invited to submit their comments and contributions until June 6, 2023. EFSA will carefully consider these inputs during their assessment process.
