U.S FDA issues new version of draft guidance on FAQs for food allergen labelling requirements

"Questions and Answers Regarding Food Allergens, Including the Food Allergen Labeling Requirements of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (Edition 5); Guidance for Industry (draught guidance)" is a guidance document that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) released on November 29 regarding the requirements for food allergen labelling. With new and updated questions and answers about the labelling of food allergens, including requirements in the Food Allergy Safety, Treatment, Education, and Research Act of 2021 (FASTER Act) and the Food Allergen Labeling and Consumer Protection Act of 2004, the draught guidance updates the prior edition (Edition 4). (FALCPA). On this draught guidance, FDA is presently looking for public feedback.
