Gambia proposed a regulation on Groundnuts and groundnut products, Alcoholic Beverages and Labelling of Pre-packaged Foods. The labelling of all pre-packaged goods that will be sold to consumers or used for catering, as well as other characteristics of how those foods will be presented, are covered by these laws. Regulation on Groundnuts and groundnut products and Alcoholic Beverages are applicable to all "stages of production, processing and distribution" which includes any stage from the initial production of a food or feed to its storage, transport, sale, or supply to the final consumer and, where applicable, the importation, production, manufacture, storage, transport, distribution, sale. Proposed date for adoption of this regulation is 15 March 2023, date of publication of this regulation is 13 April 2023 and it will enter into force on 16 October 2023. It is open for comments till 14 April 2023.
