To update the most fundamental and comprehensive standard for Food Contact Materials in China, GB 4806.1-2016 comprehensive Safety Requirements for Food Contact Materials and Articles, China National Centre for Food Safety Risk Assessment (CFSA) published the draft on April 19, 2023.
Definitions, minimum standards, compliance principles, and product descriptions are all up for revision in this draft. Since its introduction in 2016, no new version has been proposed until now.
