The FDA issued a Request For Information to gather feedback from stakeholders about food labeling information provided through online grocery shopping platforms, as part of the Biden-Harris Administration’s National Strategy on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health. With the increase in online grocery sales during the pandemic, the FDA aims to improve consumer access to consistent and accurate labeling information for packaged foods sold online. The FDA is interested in learning about the nutrition, ingredient, and major food allergens labeling information available through online platforms and any challenges in providing accurate and consistent labeling information online
