Turkish announced amended standard for Sugar

Turkey has amended its regulation on Sugar. The modification states that "The source from which [sugars are] derived, then, shall be indicated in parentheses after the product names. The same holds true if these items are included as ingredients in the making of food." Food business operators are obligated to abide by the current amendment and should change their labels before December 31, 2024.  All the product labels printed before this amendment can be placed in the market till the end of their shelf-life.
