Israel to use Food reform program for smooth import procedure

Health ministry, Israel designed food reform programme to reduce regulation and facilitate imports which will be on effect from 01-Jan-2023.|To perform this, supervision system has been digitized to allow monitoring of the route of the imported foods so problems can be detected quickly and efficiently.|The process involved “allows an importer who meets the ‘proper importer’ can pass through the “Green Route” without having to obtain an import permit for each shipment, but only being required to declare the content of the import.| High-risk foods like baby food, foods for hospitals and health institutions, nutritional supplements and meat and its products are excluded from the reform.
