Thailand has banned the import of poultry meat and egg products from Philippines

The ban on the importation of live poultry and chicken carcasses from the Philippines, which went into effect on September 28, 2022, reportedly ended on December 26, 2022, according to a notice published in the Government Gazette on September 1, 2022. A persistent outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) has been noted in the Philippines region, according to the WOAH. Thailand must therefore take steps to stop the Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) virus from spreading there. |The importation of live chickens and poultry carcasses from the Philippines is temporarily suspended for a period of 90 days .i.e. 27 March, 2023 starting on December 27, 2022, under the Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015), which was published in the Thai Royal Gazette.
