High Pathogenicity Avian Influenza (HPAI) virus was identified in the chicken holdings in the American state of Arkansas, due to which MAFF (The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries) Japan has suspended the import of live poultry from the State of Arkansas, poultry meat and egg products from Madison County in Arkansas in the United States of America. It includes the shipping of the consignment through third countries from 8th October 2022.
