EU Publishes Opinion on Trade Standard Applicable to Olive Oil and Olive Pomace Oil

The European Commission published Decision (EU) 2022/2391 on the trade standards applicable to olive oil and olive pomace oil representing the EU in the Council of Members of the International Olive Council. The positions adopted are as follows, mainly including: Support the deletion of Annex 1 of the trade standard and revision of the test method for the determination of wax and fatty acid ethyl ester content by capillary gas chromatography.
