EFSA seeks Public Input on New Recycling Process Application

CPE Contek-Pfeiffer Entsorgungsgesellschaft mbH has submitted studies and scientific data for the authorization of a new recycling process called CPE_VACUNITE® (EREMA Vacurema® Basic + Polymetrix SSP V-LeaN) under Regulation EC 282/2008. The process converts post-consumer PET flakes into food grade pellets. EFSA will assess the relevance and compliance of these data for risk assessment. The consultation seeks additional scientific data or studies related to the application. Comments can be submitted by May 26, 2023.
